Circus

I had a close friend who worked in the circus, which gave me a glimpse into a world that most people only see from the outside. I wanted this painting to capture more than the spectacle of the circus. I was interested in the life behind it—the relationships between the performers, their connection with the animals, and the friendships and memories formed along the way.

For me, the circus became a world of its own, filled with color, movement, emotion, and human connection. This painting grew out of those memories and my desire to capture something of the life that existed beyond the performance.
